Synopsis

Set in Potočari, near Srebrenica, the film tells the story of the boarding school run by the International Forum of Solidarity – Emmaus (MFS-EMMAUS). For years, it has provided free accommodation and educational support to children from remote villages across the Srebrenica region. For many of them, it is the only opportunity to attend school and build a future.

Through the stories of two children from the village of Luka and their fathers, who travelled more than one hundred kilometres each day along difficult mountain roads so their children could receive an education, the film becomes a moving portrait of parental sacrifice, resilience and the transformative power of education.
